Brain Health Diagnoses Aggregators provide the most-current Internet entries for a chosen set of categories. Our aggregators provide daily “Internet feeds” of Wikipedia articles and PubMed research abstracts (summaries) on 200 different diagnoses for brain health. The term, “Brain Health Diagnoses,” replaces the term, “mental illness categories” since “mental illness” has become outdated and negative in its tone.

“Wikipedia” is the free-online encyclopedia written to help the general public understand complex issues. Volunteers supply the content, but the content is reviewed for accuracy by the Wikipedia staff. For each of the brain health diagnoses on this website, there is a title, overview, copy of the Wikipedia article, and several other lists of resources. This website offers patients’ and caregivers many resources to help them with their brain health diagnoses.

“PubMed” lists currently-published research projects funded by the National Library of Medicine. Daily, or as often as new studies are published, the titles of the four newest entries appear. An abstract (summary) of each research study is available for download. Often, free copies of the full articles are also provided on PubMed with the abstract. If the full text is not provided free of charge, a source is usually named where the article can be purchased.

For each of the 200 diagnoses, the opening page of the description of this diagnosis is listed as a page-cross-reference from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5, published 2013 by the American Psychiatric Association). The DSM-5 is considered the most authoritative resource in the mental health field. I believe it adds credibility to these diagnoses for doctors, counselors, and researchers.
