CALMING MY PAIN!
Calming My Pain! builds awareness of how pain works in our body and brain. Relaxation exercises decrease the pain systematically throughout the major muscle groups. Relaxing individual muscles also reduces the distracting thoughts rising into your consciousness.
In 1988 a group of German doctors tracked pain sensations from the nerves throughout the body, up the spine and up into the brain. Explanations in the program describe how pain travels into the brain. Mental visualization exercises help reduce the remaining pain sensations. Frequent practice promotes awareness of both pain and calm. Repeating relaxation and visualization exercises enough times develops the habit of reducing and tolerating pain when it occurs.
The first few times play the program continuously to understand it fully. After that, play the steps you need to practice until their thoughts and actions come automatically to you.

James W. Lohr, Ph. D., Developer and Narrator, designed to program to help people reduce their pain or avoid opioids or illegal alternatives. Muscle relaxation exercises quiet the brain, understanding how the nervous system brings pain to the brain and how to reduce pain by repeating visualizations brings calm and peace.
